Are there any references in scripture to God changing his mind?

Just wondering if there are any quotes from the bible where God changed his mind about anything.
Are there any references in scripture to God changing his mind?
The fact that a second testament had to be written. Unless of course God has bipolar disorder.
Are there any references in scripture to God changing his mind?
Notice how:

1. the bible is the unerring word of god.

2. most of the laws in the OT changed to suit the bacon lovers in the NT.
For I am the LORD, I do not change; ~ Malachi 3:6

@Captain: bacon is still unclean.

Actually, I don't think so. But a lot of people point to Abraham bargaining with God about the destruction of Sodom. Personally, I think God was just playing around with him.
Ex:32:9: And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

Ex:32:10: Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.

Ex:32:11: And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?

Ex:32:12: Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.

Ex:32:13: Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.

Ex:32:14: And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
All the time. God is no different from any other sentient entity. Where the idea comes from that he does not ever change anything is a misunderstanding of the scripture where he says that %26quot;I change not%26quot;, talking about His character. He is love and he is truth and righteousness, he can never be anything else. Thanks for asking.
Yes there are. God has changed his mind. Moses bargains with God, Noah bargains with God, Lot bargains with God 鈥?and after the fish vomits Jonah onto dry land and Jonah does the will of God 鈥?goes to Nineveh and tells them to repent, because their destruction is at hand 鈥?the entire population of Nineveh repents and God changes his mind, he relents, he forgives them.

Other passages are: Genesis 6:7; God said that He was sorry He had made us. Exodus 32:14; Moses interceded for the Israelites 1 Samuel 15:11;he said that He was sorry that he made Saul King, he said it again in vrs. 35. Psalm 106:45; It is talking about Exodus 32 Hosea 11:8; Joel 2:13.says that He relents over disaster

Some people view these Scriptures as contradicting other statements like Malachi 3:6: I am the Lord, I change not or other passages like James 1:17 or 1 Samuel 15:29. This contradiction is not real, only apparent.

In LOGIC this is called a fallacy of equivocation, i.e. using a word which has two different meanings.

In one sense, God never changes in His character. However, God does change in his dealings with people. Take the example of the Ninevites in the Jonah passage quote above. God鈥檚 character towards the Ninevites has not changed (Jonah 3:10). He is still the same holy and righteous God that He was before Jonah鈥檚 preaching. God decided not to punish them based on a change that happened in the people (e.g. Nineveh鈥檚 repentant attitude). What changed was the people, not God鈥檚 standards or God鈥檚 nature.
