Why can't a politician admit to changing their mind about an issue instead of pandering?

If I was running for an office, I'd be embarrassed if I started to speak about a subject that I supported...then changed my mind and started to not support an issue...THEN deny that I ever supported the issue to begin with...AGH! Palin's %26quot;Road to Nowhere%26quot; stance changed and she is in denial...period. That is just one example of many...

I wonder if politicians just have %26quot;selective%26quot; truths in their memories...
Why can't a politician admit to changing their mind about an issue instead of pandering?
Because if they didn't, they wouldn't be called politicians.
Why can't a politician admit to changing their mind about an issue instead of pandering?
NO...She remembers. She just hopes Americans won't.
things change..the world changes..our towns change..nothing wrong with changing your mind. the ability to change on an issue because you may have been wrong or maybe it was the right decision at the time but not now is the wise decision. wouldn't you agree?
