Changing mind on coucil exchange?
Hi,
I think your best bet is to go to the Citizens Advice Bureau with all the things you have about this exchange - even better get a meeting with someone whom works for the housing at your council.
They will have come across this before and will have procedures of what happens.
Because a contract has been signed between you she may have a right to go ahead and sue as the contract has been broken but it is important to look at contract to see if you have a period in which you can change mind etc.
They can't legally move you, I don't think, as you still paying rent on property and it still in your name.
I not sure if you will have to pay anything to your cousin but I advise you to get legal help.
Good luck!
