What is the explanation for God seemingly changing his mind when the prophet went to Hezekiah?
The Bible says that Hezekiah prayed and God granted his request...............He did live for 15 more years - just as God said.
People should always pray - he also spared Nineveh when the people prayed and repented................God says want He his plan is --- but he can, and will, cooperate with people.
I would guarantee that if Hezekiah had not prayed - he would have died...............
What is the explanation for God seemingly changing his mind when the prophet went to Hezekiah?
maybe he was testing someone. Already had his mind made up.
Actually, God's decree to end Hezekiah's life was a test of Hezekiah's faith in Him. Most Christians view the outcome of this matter as God granting Hezekiah's wish, but really he failed the test.
Notice that the next King, Manasseh, was the most evil king to reign in Judah. Had Hezekiah listened to God and submitted to His will, much evil would never have occured, since Manasseh wouldn't have been conceived.
This had been one of my questions for years.
