Repubs, will you call Obama out on changing his mind about the war?

First he was critisized for wanting to end the war in Ahfgan abruptly. Now that he has reevaluated he says the war is still winnable and is Sending out 17,000 MORE troops! So will you applaud him trying to bring our troops home in victory or will you call him a flip floppper? Or can he %26quot;not win for losing%26quot; with you guys at all?

I think you have your facts mixed up. President Obama wants to surrender in Iraq not Afghanistan. Apparently it is still OK to be in Afghanistan. At least on defense issues he has not flip flopped though he has delayed on his proposed (and poorly considered) actions regarding Iraq. That puts him firmly in line with most conservatives and generals' thinking so we are glad he kept an open mind.

No, I will call out all those who voted for him so I can hear their excuses now though.

One of his main campaign points was ending the wars and that's why they voted for him. But now he's gone back on that promise (Oh no, not another one!)
Obama never said he wanted to end the war in Afghanistan.
I knew all along this war would not end as he envisioned he could do. Talking points. Pandering. I'm not at all surprised.

If our troops begin to leave Iraq in 16 months as Bush arranged, I'm sure he will take credit for that.

Actually the libs are right. Obama said he would begin to pull troops from Iraq %26quot;the day he took office%26quot;..........then it was, %26quot;within months%26quot;......then it was %26quot;within a year%26quot;.......etc., etc., etc.......guess he had a change of heart once he actually understood what he was talking about. *roll of eyes*
Good question. I have already mentioned that he flip flopped ont the war. I am still thinking on what to do. If he is for it I am rethinking my position on having troops there.
Republicans have called out Democrats on their %26quot;anti-war%26quot; hypocrisy for years, especially since 2003, when it was revealed that Democrats had advocated for war against Iraq in 1998.
You're wrong. Obama has always said we need more troops in Afghanistan. He initially said 30,000. Now, he's only sending 17,000.
stop talking shxt you probably dont even know what your talking about ive never heard anything like that idiot
He is just listening to his Generals in the field. Like should have been doing when he was in the Senate. Funny how thing's change when one get's all the Intel. Did you notice that once he won the primary and started getting the daily briefings how his stance on Iraq changed?
sorry can't really remember if he said that or not but i can say this, appearances mean everything. this is a typical 'play' in the democrat play book. this is nothing but for show. he's already campaigning for 12.
You know what's funny?

You said, incorrectly at that, that Obama said he was going to end the war in Afghanistan, which he didn't, and there are people (mostly Cons) that are agreeing with you.

This is too funny. Group stupidity at its finest.
This may be a good move. I honestly can't say more than that without knowing the types of troops being sent and the mission.

The surge in Iraq was a definite success so this may be as well. I guess the bottom line is that if the commanders on the ground specifically requested the men then I am all for it. If Obama's administration is sending them on their own then I am skeptical although having Gates remain is definitely a good sign that the move is being made for serious reasons.
